37% of Americans think its ok to perform sex change operations on minors?

I certainly think an 8-year-old is capable of deciding to have a ....WTF!


Apparently, almost 40% of our populace has lost their f-cking minds! Youngsters have to wait to get a driver's license, and consume alcohol but...sorry I need to lie down.


I'm seeing an half EMPTY glass here.


BTW: Once a minor reaches adulthood, I believe they certainly should have the right to identify how they wish and elect surgery.


Majority Support State Laws Banning Transgender Treatment for Minors

Several states have recently enacted legislation prohibiting transgender treatment for minors, and most voters approve of such laws.


The latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone and online survey finds that 58% of Likely U.S. Voters approve of legislation making it illegal to perform sex-change surgery on minors, including 46% who Strongly Approve of such laws. Thirty-seven percent (34%) disapprove of states passing laws to ban such surgeries on minors, including 21% who Strongly Disapprove. (To see survey question wording, click here.)


Approve of making it illegal to give HRT to minors. Thirty-seven percent (37%) disapprove of such laws, including 25% who Strongly Disapprove. Another 10% are not sure.


South Dakota on Monday became the sixth state to ban such treatments for minors, as Republican Gov. Kristi Noem signed into law the “Help Not Harm Bill.”


Nationwide, Republican voters most strongly support such legislation.

The survey of 900 U.S. Likely Voters was conducted on February 8-9 and 12, 2023 by Rasmussen Reports. The margin of sampling error is +/- 3 percentage points with a 95% level of confidence. Field work for all Rasmussen Reports surveys is conducted by Pulse Opinion Research, LLC. See methodology.


Seventy-two percent (72%) of Republicans approve of state laws making it illegal to perform sex-change surgery on minors, including 61% who Strongly Approve. Forty-five percent (45%) of Democrats approve of states banning sex-change surgery for minors, including 30% who Strongly Approve, while 45% of Democrats disapprove of such laws, including 25% who Strongly Disapprove. Among voters not affiliated with either major party, 61% at least somewhat approve of state laws making it illegal to perform sex-change surgery on minors, while 30% disapprove.


On the issue of state laws prohibiting HRT for minors, 63% of Republicans, 41% of Democrats and 54% of unaffiliated voters at least somewhat approve, while 47% of Democrats, 29% of Republicans and 35% of unaffiliated voters disapprove.


While majorities of both men (63%) and women voters (55%) approve of state laws making it illegal to perform sex-change surgery on minors, men (51%) are more likely than women voters (42%) to Strongly Approve of such laws. Findings are similar on state laws banning HRT for minors, with 54% of men and 50% of women voters approving such legislation, but more men (41%) than women voters (36%) saying they Strongly Approve of making it illegal to provide HRT to minors.


Fifty-nine percent (59%) of whites, 51% of black voters and 65% of other minorities at least somewhat approve of states prohibiting sex-change surgery for minors. Fifty-one percent (51%) of whites, 46% of black voters and 60% of other minorities at least somewhat approve of states making it illegal to provide HRT to minors.


Majorities of voters in all age categories approve of state laws making it illegal to perform sex-change surgery on minors, but approval is strongest among those ages 40-64.


Private sector workers (64%) are more likely than government employees (55%) to approve of states making it illegal to provide HRT to minors.


Majorities of voters in all income categories approve of state laws making it illegal to perform sex-change surgery on minors, but approval is strongest among those earning between $50,000 and $100,000 a year.


President Joe Biden’s strongest supporters are least supportive of states banning transgender treatment for minors. Among voters who Strongly Approve of Biden’s job performance as president, only 37% approve of state laws making it illegal to perform sex-change surgery on minors, while among those who Strongly Disapprove of Biden’s performance, 80% approve of such laws.


President Biden would defeat former President Donald Trump In a hypothetical 2024 rematch, while Trump would win with Vice President Kamala Harris as his Democratic opponent.


Voters overwhelmingly view the deadly drug fentanyl as a serious problem, and most don’t give President Joe Biden high marks for his handling of the issue.
