I expect to be offended and entertained. That's good enough for me.

The Data: Americans' predictions for what President-elect Donald Trump will accomplish in the White House have changed somewhat from his first term. The biggest increase in expectations is seen in views that Trump will avoid war (up 17 percentage points since 2016), followed by the belief that he'll control illegal immigration (+9), reduce the crime rate (+8) and improve race relations (+6).

On the Other Hand: Americans are less sure now than in 2016 that Trump will improve healthcare and education, with the optimistic percentages slipping 12 and 10 points, respectively, and that he will heal political divisions (-6).
