The EU has no say in the matter. Parden me but...f-ck them.
Our object isn't to de-escalate it's to take the nuclear option away from some nutjobs.
Iran will either allow a UN force full access to destroy their nuclear facilities or the US will help Israel do it for them.
Iran is awash in oil and natural gas, they have zero need for nuclear power.
It's to our strategic advantage to help the Iranian people (a highly educated populous) acheive freedom from the tyrants who run the nation and elect their own government. Continued pressure from Israel and the US will likely lead to the Mullahs running for their lives. The military may likely step in and assume control until elections are held.
Can this have a happy ending. Iran could become a thriving nation with excellent global relations. They have the natural resources and a great citizenry. Fingers crossed.
