Hey, ever use navigation? Apple v Google!

Ok, let's agree that Apple Maps in it's early days sucked. However, it's gotten a lot better. So is it worth using and when?

This video takes you through the dets. Here are a few highlights from my point of view.

  • Google is the more robust option. Great for nav, great for checking traffic jams and rerouting, finding restaurants, creating maps...navigating offline if you're in remote places.

  • Is Apple Maps ever better? Yes, for short-trip navigation, it's maps provide more detail and it's voice commands are more intuitive.

  • Bottom line: Google is my go-to except for short-term trips when I'll often use Apple. If the short trip involves finding a restaurant recommendation or sim, I'll stick to Google.
