I love Ken Burns, I don’t love his commencement speech

One of my favorite filmmakers. Brilliant guy.

He’s a complete jackass to tell graduating seniors who to vote for and characterize one as an existential threat to humanity. The Dark Lord is certainly a loud-mouthed jackass but he didn’t blow up the world or tank the US during his tenure. Happy he isn’t my father-in-law however.

This type of speech is for the kids and their families in the context of an important accomplishment, not Burn's bully pulpit.
