Maybe if American made cars didn't suck they'd steal them too

Hey, Kia and Hyundai kick ass. Their high theft rate is a badge of honor. Speaking of which I'm proud as a Peacock. Guess who's #1 down there with 2,500 thefts! Suck it also-rans.

Hyundai x Amazon

Yesterday, online mega-retailer Amazon announced a strategic partnership with Hyundai Motors, which will include the selling of Hyundai vehicles on Amazon.com in 2024 — to be collected at a dealership or delivered to your home (no mention of a “safe place”) — as well as making Amazon’s Alexa voice assistant available in cars, while Hyundai will use Amazon’s AWS for its cloud services.

Although this new deal will make Hyundais easy to buy, the Korean-manufactured vehicles are still trying to shake a rep for being easy to steal: as we were charting earlier this year, thefts of Kias and Hyundais rose 2,500% year-on-year in the first half of 2021, as viral videos contributed to a spike of incidents across America.
