Pew Research: How do blacks feel about racism and it getting better?
Some interesting questions to mull over. Jews who immigrated to this country did not exactly receive a big welcome matter in the 1920s. Think about the way the Japanese were vilified here after WWII here.
The kind of sweeping reforms talked about in this poll and changes to our institutions did not happen for these two groups, yet they thrived. Jews and Japanese who came to this country generally did not have significant skills. That came later.
The question is can African Americans emulate the success of these groups or are they effectively dependent on others to achieve greater success?
