I normally don't post videos but this short one is pretty impactful.
First a photo. What's shown is the overwhelming police turn out for the two NYC officers recently shot in the line of duty. Our president couldn't make that, but parachuted in the next day to highlight what he called a "great example successfully deploying a strategy to fight violent crime".
Not sure what he deems successful. The over 50% increase in homicides there last year, the doubling of shootings since 2020 or the new DA's decision to not prosecute property crimes including all misdemeanors, resisting arrest, trespassing. Or as Bill Maher put it, citizens no longer "need money" to shop.
