Should you have invested in Moderna? Before the pandemic?

There are two charts below? Any idea of what they are?

The first chart shows the price of Pfizer stock since before the pandemic to the present day. The second shows Moderna. Surprised? Whether you think our government's COVID response was appropriate or not the economic gains from from MRNA vaccines don't appear to have prevailed.

If you had bought Pfizer before COVID you would have basically broken even; Moderna (a little better than that).

Of course, many people bought these two stocks on the way up. These folks made great money until the stock prices nose-dived. Now their investments are worth a fraction of what they paid for them.
