Snitz goes to the DMV & compares to the Apple Store? WTF?

Yes, I aced the written exam and have my new driver's lic. I also took a hard look at the DMV during my visit. Twenty-year-old tan paint job…check. Beat up vinyl flooring…check. Dirty off-white ceiling with ugly fluorescent lighting. Unhappy workers who’d rather be any place else…check. Did I mention the long lines and glacially slow service?

Just like the Apple Store? No. Everything there is shiny, new and cool. The Apple Staff looks like they’ve been injected with Beatle Juice and are ready to whisk you away into a new high-tech future. OMG this is so fricken awesome.

Now, don’t you wish you could trade your iPhone in for a model manufactured by the State of Illinois, with Gov Fatzo being the new Tim Cook!

The next time a progressive tells you a complex problem needs to be solved by the public sector you might want to pause a moment an consider a trip to the DMV.
