Trump mocks ‘wacko’ Robert De Niro after actor’s Biden campaign press conference in NYC: ‘So pathetic and sad’

Donald Trump skewered Robert De Niro early Wednesday, calling the actor a “wacko” and mocking his participation in a Biden campaign press conference outside the Manhattan courthouse where the former president is being tried.

“I never knew how small, both mentally and physically, Wacko Former Actor Robert De Niro was,” Trump railed in a Truth Social post.

“Today, De Niro, who suffers from an incurable case of TRUMP DERANGEMENT SYNDROME, commonly known in the medical community as TDS, was met, outside the Courthouse, with a force far greater than the Radical Left – MAGA,” the former president said.

“Robert, whose movies, artistry, and brand have gone WAY DOWN IN VALUE since he entered the political arena at the request of Crooked Joe Biden, looked so pathetic and sad out there. Where have you gone Joe DiMaggio!!!” the post continued.

De Niro, 80, delivered prepared remarks at the surprise Biden campaign press conference Tuesday afternoon as Trump’s defense team made its closing arguments in the former president’s hush money trial.

“I don’t mean to scare you. No, wait, maybe I do mean to scare you,” De Niro said into the microphone. “If Trump returns to the White House, you can kiss these freedoms goodbye that we all take for granted.

“And elections. Forget about it. That’s over. That’s done. If he gets in. I can tell you right now. He will never leave. He will never leave. You know that. He will never leave.”

Trump blasted Robert De Niro early Wednesday on Truth Social, calling the actor a “wacko” and mocking his participation in a Biden campaign press conference outside the Manhattan courthouse where the former president is being tried.

But the press conference – during which the “Goodfellas” actor called Trump, 77, a “clown,” a “grubby real estate hustler” and a “tyrant” – descended into chaos when supporters of the former president tried to drown out the actor with anti-Biden anti-De Niro chants.

“You’re a f–king idiot,” De Niro yelled at one protester who accused him of being a “paid actor for the DNC” and suggested the actor had unsavory ties to convicted pedophile Jeffrey Epstein.

Following the event, Trump 2024 national press secretary Karoline Leavitt said that “actors like Robert De Niro” have “no idea the real problems that people in this city and across this country are facing.”
