Hey, I'm sure both sides will be slinging mud. Walz has said some stuff that is at best stupid.
He attacks Vance for going to Yale on scholarship and working in Venture Capital...ergo being a phony. While I would have never recommended JD as a GOP choice, he grew up dirt poor, in a very broken home, and is legitimately a self-made man. Attack his policies or bible-thumping depiction of working women (which is absurd) but don't demean him for pulling himself out of poverty.
Walz lies about his military record...not smart. He tries to play the role of military hero and attack Vance saying he would never allow the sale of assault rifles he used "in battle" to civilians in the US. Of course, Walz quit the military on the eve of his deployment to the Middle East and therefore never served in battle or used weaponry there. So he's full of crap and wasn't smart enough to tell a lie that's hard to fact check?
My point is that Walz is making silly pointless personal attacks that weaken his credibility. Will JD do the exact same? Hopefully not, but probably.
At the end of the day what matters is the policy difference between the Dem and GOP candidates not the mudslinging distractions.
