Trump is trying to tar and feather Kamala with her former liberal rhetoric. Probably a good tactic.
Harris sees the Dark Lord gaining ground with Blacks and Hispanics (as the NY Times reported 3 days ago) and is trying to reverse the slide.
There are two things that I'd concentrate on instead. 1. Trump is about to start a trade war (tarrifs on China, the EU and Mexico) that could have a similar impact to what Hoover tried during the early stages of the Great Depression. 2. He's proposing to spend considerably more money on government than the Dems (almost double as reported by the right leading Wall St Journal). Those are "real" problems.
I suspect Trump's ad will move the dial more than his opponent's.
