Why Quentin Tarantino thinks Movies better than TV?

Very thought-provoking. One contrary example I can think of; Mad Men is one of the best series I've watched. It's unique in that it was conceived up front to run for 7 seasons and has a profound plot arc.

Essentially the series follows the descent of its protagonist into hell and his rebirth and attempt to find salvation at the end. In the process, it provides a view of the Vietnam era & the societal impact of such that's unforgettable.

Most TV series are written on the fly and end when the writers run out of ideas.
