The House Freedom Caucus consists of 20 hard-right House Reps (whack jobs) who are, as far as I can tell, perfectly willing to play chicken. A number of the things they are holding out for aren't exactly bad (although they're a motley crew).
They want to rein in spending.
They especially want to limit spending on the Ukraine War. I agree.
They want the border protected and illegals turned back to Mexico. I agree also.
Below is a open letter they posted in August anticipating we'd be here now.
