Taylor Swift's new album...I'm doing backflips

Honestly, I've been missing the hype. I never actually heard any of her music, until a few days ago. I couldn't wait to hear her share her heart-wrenching stories put into music about bad boyfriends and love gone err..."sour". Plus given she's dating one of the biggest douchebags in the NFL...there's certain to be more "hits" coming out.

No stupid, I don't mean to suggest that he's going to "belt" her in the mouth (although those roided up dudes are a little short in the fuse dept.). I mean hit songs dummy!

Anyhew, I listened to several of her top hits (Apple Music) AND? She is about as exceptional as elevator music. Her stuff sounds like everybody else's stuff and will likely not be played in 50 years like enduring acts such as the Beatles, Elvis...blah blah blah.

In short, she sucks. Sorry if you're a fan. Join the lemmings who buy this highly processed crap. No thanks.

Taylor Swift's 11th Album

1440 News

Taylor Swift today released her highly anticipated 11th original studio album, “The Tortured Poets Department.” The album comes as the musician is set to continue her international Eras Tour next month, the highest-grossing music tour in history and the first to surpass $1B in sales. Listen to the album here.

Swift’s album was preceded by a string of Easter eggs—or clues—designed to hype up fans. The promo has included a pop-up exhibit in Los Angeles and QR codes in major cities that point to a range of cryptic videos. Much of Swift's public persona is overseen by publicist Tree Paine (read more here).

Swift is a four-time Grammy album of the year winner (the most in history) and the world's highest-earning female musician, with an estimated net worth of $1.1B. Her impact has been studied by economists and geologists alike: A UCLA study last month found fans dancing at concerts caused detectable “Swift quakes.” Her Arizona concert stimulated the local economy more than the 2023 Super Bowl.
