You probably never heard of the Jones Act. It's one of the stupidest things the gov did and has pretty much stopped shipping on our inland waterways.

If this got repealed it would be a massive stimulant to US manufacturing. Plus, shipping all those thousands of containers by barge instead of by truck would have a far greater impact on using less fossil fuel than all those fricken EV cars.
