Facts are not inherently racist, however your interest in viewing such is a clear indicator that you are inclined to join the clan. OMG...what's the matter with you?

BTW: My sense of humor is offensive.

Violent Crimes

Arrests (not "committed"): According to 2024 FBI data, African Americans accounted for approximately 43% of arrests for violent crimes, while representing about 13% of the U.S. population. Specifically, in 2019 data, African Americans represented 51.2% of murder arrests and 52.7% of robbery arrests.

Important context: Arrest data reflects police activity and doesn't necessarily represent who commits crimes. Research shows systemic factors including disparities in policing, poverty rates (28.5% for Black females vs 16.8% overall in 2014), and other socioeconomic conditions contribute to these statistics.

Single-Mother Households

Children in single-parent households: Approximately 64-67% of African American children live in single-parent households, compared to about 24% for white children. About 73% of African American children are born to unwed mothers. Only 38.7% of African American children under 18 live with both parents, compared to 74.3% of white children.

Abortions

Percentage of abortions: African American women accounted for approximately 28-38% of all abortions (estimates vary by data source - Guttmacher Institute reports 28%, CDC reports 38%), despite representing about 13-14% of the U.S. population. The Black abortion rate is about 3.8-5 times higher than the white abortion rate.

Obesity in Women

Obesity rate: Approximately 54-57% of African American women are obese, compared to about 33% of white women. When including both overweight and obese categories, about 80-82% of African American women fall into these categories.

SNAP/Food Stamps

Household participation: About 25-26% of African American households participate in SNAP, compared to about 8% of white households. However, in absolute numbers, white households represent the largest group of SNAP recipients (35-42% of all recipients), while African Americans represent about 26% of all SNAP participants.

Breaking news. The Report readership is clamoring for more data. I am your humble servant!

Olympics

Winter Olympics

  • White athletes: ~92-95%

  • Black athletes: ~5-8%

The 2018 U.S. Winter Olympic team was approximately 92% white, with only 20 athletes of color (out of which 12 were in figure skating or bobsledding). Winter sports like skiing and snowboarding remain overwhelmingly white.

Summer Olympics

  • White athletes: ~82%

  • Black athletes: ~10-18%

Summer Olympics show greater diversity, though still majority white. Black athletes tend to concentrate in specific sports like basketball, track and field, and gymnastics. Overall, only about 10% of all athletes at the 2020 Olympics were of African descent globally.

Professional Sports

NFL (National Football League)

  • Black athletes: ~53-58%

  • White athletes: ~24-27%

The NFL has shifted dramatically from being predominantly white in the 1960s to predominantly Black today. In 2023, approximately 53.5% of players were Black/African American, while white non-Hispanic players represented about 25-27%.

NBA (National Basketball Association)

  • Black athletes: ~70-78%

  • White athletes: ~17-19%

The NBA has the highest percentage of Black players among major sports. In 2023, 70.4% of NBA players were African American, while only 17.5% were white. This represents a steady increase in Black representation since the league's integration, with white American players now comprising less than 10% of the league.

MLB (Major League Baseball)

  • Black athletes: ~6%

  • White athletes: ~59-61%

Baseball shows a stark reversal from basketball and football. Only about 6% of MLB players are Black/African American (down from peaks of 16-19% in the 1970s-1990s). White players comprise approximately 59-61% of the league. The largest minority group is Latino players at about 30%.

Professional Golf (PGA Tour)

  • Black athletes: ~2-3%

  • White athletes: ~80%

Professional golf remains the least diverse of the major sports, with approximately 80% of PGA Tour players being white and only 2-3% Black. Of the nearly 29,000 PGA of America members, fewer than 1% are African American. Currently, only about 4 Black players hold PGA Tour status.

Summary

The data reveals dramatic differences across sports: Winter Olympics and golf remain overwhelmingly white (80-95%), while the NBA and NFL are predominantly Black (53-78%). Baseball sits in the middle with modest Black representation (6%) and majority white players (60%), though with significant Latino participation. Summer Olympics show moderate diversity compared to Winter Olympics but remain majority white overall.
