Can most people tell the difference between real and AI generated music?

Apparently, only about 3% of listeners can discriminate between real and fake. Crazy.

My take: A number of scientists have analyzed current pop music and compared to earlier decades (most notably the 1970s). New stuff is less complex and top songs are statistically more similar to each other in terms of melody, time signature.....


Ergo, it's much easier for an algorithm to copy something that's relatively simple. Now play the cut below...by Yes. Think ChatGPT could have composed that? Don't think so.
