In case you live under a rock, three years ago Bud Light, then the top beer brand in American, decided to completely destroy itself with this enlighted ad.

Now they're trying to reset the narrative and reestablish the brand and it's blue collar customer base. They figure Shane Gillis can do the trick. The attempt is pathetic and a huge career misstep for the comedian. So, no it did not land.
