I doubters will claim Jill as been unlucky in love. I think that's a bit harsh.

Jill Biden’s ex-husband was arrested Monday on charges he murdered his wife in their Delaware home in December, police said.
William “Bill” Stevenson – who was previously married to the former first lady for five years – has been hit with one count of first-degree murder in an indictment for allegedly killing his new spouse, Linda Stevenson, 64 at their house in Elsmere, the New Castle Police announced Monday.
Cops responded to a domestic dispute call on Dec. 28 and found Linda unresponsive on the floor.
She was declared dead at the scene after attempting to revive her.
Her cause of death hasn’t been released yet but cops said they would be conducting an autopsy.
Linda — described in her obit as a huge Philadelphia Eagles fan — is survived by her daughter with Stevenson, Christina Vettori, her granddaughter and her sister.
The 77-year-old husband is being held on $500,000 bail at the Howard Young Correctional Institution in Wilmington, Del. following his arraignment.
The cops said he hasn’t been able to make bail.
His arrest came after a weeks-long investigation.
In a 2020 interview with Inside Edition, Bill and Linda appeared loving toward each other and gushed about their decades-long marriage.
“She was sitting across the bar with a common friend,” Bill told Inside Edition’s Steven Fabian at the time. “I said, ‘Is that Linda?’ and he said, ‘Yes.’ And from that day on we have never been apart.”
“Quite a romantic, this guy?” Fabian asked Linda.
“Yeah, yes,” she responded, smiling and holding Bill’s hand.
“He was persistent,” Fabian said.
“Yes, very,” Linda answered.
Jill Biden, 74, divorced Stevenson in 1975 after a five-year marriage.
They tied the knot when Jill was 18 and Stevenson — a former college football player, was 23.
Stevenson opened college hotspot The Stone Balloon near the University of Delaware which put on performances for big-name artists, including Bruce Springsteen, Dave Matthews and the Allman Brothers Band.
When Jill and Stevenson split she unsuccessfully tried to keep her share of the popular bar — which shuttered in 2024.
In 1977, two years after divorcing Stevenson, Jill wed then-Senator Joe Biden (D-Del.).
Stevenson has accused Jill of having an affair with the one-term Democratic president prior to their divorce.
Stevenson and Jill worked on Joe Biden’s first campaign for Senate in 1972 when they both grew close to him, Stevenson has claimed.
That same year Joe Biden’s first wife, Neilia, and their infant daughter were tragically killed in a car crash.
Stevenson said he started suspecting Joe and Jill were having an affair in 1974.
Joe and Jill claimed they first met after they were set up on a date in 1975 after Joe became a widower and Jill split with Stevenson.
A rep for Jill and Joe Biden didn’t immediately return a request for comment Tuesday.
It was not immediately known who the criminal defense attorney is for Stevenson.
