Katy Perry forced to deny Ruby Rose’s sexual assault allegations: ‘Reckless lies’

Katy Perry has denied Ruby Rose’s accusations that the singer sexually assaulted her two decades ago.

The “Orange Is the New Black” actress, 40, claimed in a series of Threads posts on Sunday that the alleged incident occurred at a nightclub in Melbourne, Australia when she was in her 20s.

“Katy Perry sexual assaulted me at spice market nightclub in Melbourne. Who gives a s–t what she thinks,” Rose wrote in response to Complex Music’s post about Perry, 41, reacting to Justin Bieber’s Coachella 2026 performance.

In her next Threads message, Rose said it’s taken her “almost two decades” to make the accusation public.

“Though I am so grateful to have made it long enough to find my voice, it just shows how much of an impact trauma and sexual assault takes. Thank you for seeing me,” she stated.

Perry’s rep denied Rose’s claim in a statement to Page Six.

“The allegations being circulated on social media by Ruby Rose about Katy Perry are not only categorically false, they are dangerous reckless lies,” the rep said.

“Ms. Rose has a well-documented history of making serious public allegations on social media against various individuals, claims that have repeatedly been denied by those named,” the statement continued.

Rose (pictured above in Melbourne in July 2023) said that it took her two decades to finally speak out about the alleged sexual assault.

Rose claimed that Perry (seen above) “rubbed her disgusting vagina on my face until my eyes snapped open and I projectile vomited on her.”

Reps for Rose did not respond to Page Six’s request for comment regarding Perry’s denial.

On Threads, Rose gave more details about the alleged incident.

“She didn’t kiss me. She saw me ‘resting’ on my best friend’s lap to avoid her and bent down, pulled her underwear to the side and rubbed her disgusting vagina on my face until my eyes snapped open and I projectile vomited on her,” she claimed about Perry.

Rose alleged, “After it I threw up on her, I told the story publicly but changed it to be a ‘funny little drunk story’ because I didn’t know how else to handle it. Later she agreed to help me get my US visa. So I kept it a secret. But I DID tell yall she wasn’t a good person. ”

When a fan told Rose that they “believe” her story about “something incredibly raw and traumatic,” the “Batwoman” actress thanked her followers for their support.

A rep for Perry (pictured above) denied Rose’s claim in a statement to Page Six, which called out Rose’s “dangerous reckless lies.”

In another post, Rose wrote that she planned to go to “a police station to see if any of my experiences can be investigated.”

“I imagine they are past their statute of limitations, but all the more reason to try,” she said. “I have a long list, it will probably take more out of me than I’m prepared for, but I will come back here to update others on the process, as soon as I am ready.”

A few hours later, Rose wrote, “I did it.”
