• On Wednesday, Los Angeles local officials called on Casey Wasserman, Chairman of the Los Angeles Organizing Committee for the 2028 Olympic and Paralympic Games and CEO of Wasserman, to resign after the U.S. Department of Justice released Epstein-related files naming him.

• The DOJ files show 2003 emails among more than 3 million pages, revealing flirtatious exchanges between Wasserman and Maxwell, reported by the Los Angeles Times.

• While in Milan, Wasserman apologized, saying `I deeply regret my correspondence with Ghislaine Maxwell which took place over two decades ago... I am terribly sorry for having any association with either of them`, and denied any relationship with Jeffrey Epstein.

• City Controller Kenneth Mejia pressed for accountability, noting the LA28 budget now totals 7.2 billion, and the LA City Council may face pressure to introduce a formal resolution about Wasserman's leadership.

• The IOC said, `From the IOC point of view, the and how they are structured is not something we are going to get involved into`, as local leaders warned the scandal could threaten sponsorships and the plans for the 2028 Games.
