Said Report medical contributor, T Spritz MD "It's a common misconception that African Americans have huge cocks. Statistically speaking that's untrue. The Norwegian's in contrast are endowed like you can't believe. They need the extra room to avoid serious damage to ...you know where. This is one more example of Norway being unfairly maligned for their sexual prowess".

‘Crotch-gate’ scandal leads to new regulations for ski jumping at Olympics

(NEXSTAR) – Who knew a little bit of fabric would lead to a whole lot of controversy?

A cheating scandal that rocked the Nordic World Ski Championships in 2025 has prompted the International Ski Federation (FIS) to implement a new rule at the Milan Cortina Winter Games: a more thorough inspection of the ski jumping uniforms, especially in the crotch areas.

The scandal, which has been nicknamed “crotch-gate” or “penis-gate,” was sparked after Norwegian ski jumpers Marius Lindvik and Johann André Forfang, both former Olympic medalists, had been wearing uniforms with extra fabric sewn into the crotches.

A crotch area that has been lowered or fortified, like the ones found on Lindvik and Forfang’s suits, effectively extends the surface area of the uniform, allowing for more lift and a longer jump. (Just one centimeter of extra fabric in the V-position of the uniform was found to potentially lengthen a jump by close to 3 meters, a recent study found.)

The material was discovered after an examination of the seams of their crotches after the event.

The athletes themselves got off fairly easy, claiming they knew nothing of the tampering. But their coaches Magnus Brevik and Thomas Lobben, along with staff member Adrian Livelten, were ultimately banned from the sport for 18 months for their role in the incident — a major blow to Norway, the originator of the sport.

“In Norway, ski jumping is their Super Bowl,” NewsNation correspondent and WGN Radio director Ryan Burrow said. “That is where a lot of international athletes go to train. It is a major sport there.”

The FIS’s new rules, meanwhile, will make it much harder for athletes to artificially extend their crotch areas (and therefore their jumps), intentionally or not. Their gear will now be pre-screened by two FIS controllers and a doctor, who will use 3-D measurements to evaluate athletes in their uniforms.

After suits pass the control checkpoint, tamper-proof microchips are affixed throughout the suit to prevent manipulation. Scanners will be able to tell before and after the jump if the chips are all in place.

A system like in soccer will also be applied so that anyone disqualified for an equipment violation will get a yellow card. A subsequent violation will lead to a red card and disqualification from the next event and a team will also lose a slot for a skier in the competition.

The Norwegian team, throughout the ordeal, are trying to restore trust in their athletes.

“We are building everything around the athletes from scratch,” said Rune Velta, a former Norwegian team ski jumper who took over as head coach in June. “We started five months ago with zero and now we have a team around them to make them perform.”

Some fellow athletes, however, may not be as likely to forget.

“This is doping,” former German Olympic champ Jens Weissflog told German newspaper Bild of the scandal, “just with a different needle.”
